Questions
Common questions
How do I know if my watch needs timing regulation?
If your watch gains or loses more than a minute or two each day, a timing check is worthwhile. Mechanical watches naturally drift a little, but a consistent pattern of several minutes' difference often points to an adjustment that is simple to make.
How long does a service usually take?
Timing regulation typically takes one to three working days. Strap fitting is usually completed the same day. An appraisal with documentation is ready within three to five working days. We will give you a clear timeframe when you bring the piece in.
Do you work on vintage and antique watches?
Yes. Older watches are welcome here. We are careful with fragile parts and will discuss the condition with you before starting any work. If a piece needs specialist restoration beyond our scope, we will tell you honestly.
Can I bring in a watch for an appraisal without any other service?
Absolutely. An appraisal is a standalone service. Many clients bring in a family watch to have a written record made, with no repair work involved. The document includes photographs and a description of condition and specifications.
What strap options do you carry?
We keep a selection of leather, nylon, and metal options in common lug widths. If you are looking for something specific, contact us beforehand and we can often source it for you before your visit.
Are the prices shown inclusive of all work?
The prices listed cover the service as described. If a diagnostic session reveals additional work that might be beneficial, we discuss it with you first. Nothing is done — and nothing is charged — without your agreement.
